General: What was that password again?

Author(s)
Michael Kaplan

Have you ever locked yourself out of a Jet 3.x/3.5x database with the database password?

Have you ever had anyone tell you that the database password in both versions of Jet is so lame that anyone could break it and you didn't know whether to believe it?

The basDatabasePassword module is provided for the express purpose of destroying the burgeoning shareware industry of Jet 3.x/3.5x database password crackers.

You should keep in mind that it is still quite illegal to break into a database you have no authorization to view

Please don't do anything that would cause me to have less respect for you than for the lifeless souls who try to charge money for code of this nature on a "per database" basis.

For what its worth, the Jet 4.0 database password is not even close to this easy to crack, and no, I will not help you crack it, so don't ask.
